Der Saar Riesling von Van Volxem kommt in diesem Jahr als schlanker Athlet daher, in der Nase etwas Pfirsich und Limette mit viel frische und zartem floralem Duft. Am Gaumen kommt die straffe Struktur direkt durch, wirkt kerniger und mineralischer als im letzten Jahr, der Jahrgang gibt im ein deutliches Plus an Mineralik, außerdem glänzt er mit einer saftigen Säure und viel Zug nach hinten, etwas gelber Apfel und Birnenschale, leicht mürbe Struktur und zum Abgang hin auch wieder etwas Limette.
