Wine Character

While our wine descriptions in prose are typically only available in German, our short wine character gives you a general indication of the wine style.

light + fruity

Not necessarily low in alcohol but a structure perceived as light with a soft and round fruit flavour.

fruity + minerally

Fruity with a rather slender structure and a lot of minerality.

rich + fruity

Full-bodied, plenty of fruit, rather soft, with low acidity and soft tannins.

rich + lusty

Full-bodied, polished and demanding structure, great length.

rich + minerally

Full-bodied with higher acidity in combination with stronger tannins (red) or more intensive minerality (white).

hearty+ mineraly

Rather slight structure, plays more with acidity and minerality than fruitiness.
