The traditional winery Jurtschitsch Sonnhof dates back to the 16th century and is one of the most romantic wineries in Austria. Each one of the three likeable brothers Edwin, Paul and Karl is responsible for his domain, vineyards, wine cellar and marketing. In the last few years a lot of things changee in the Jurtschitsch winery. Edwins son Alwin has joined the family and is taking over more and more responsibility for their wines.
The different soils and the climatic differences of the single vineyards such as Heiligenstein, Loiserberg, Dechant or Käferberg are the cornerstone of their wine range. Their focus on quality also shows in the bio-dynamic cultivation of the vineyards and Alwin Jurtschitschs approach to put the focus especially on the character of their single vineyard wines.
