Den Grünen Veltliner Zion füllt Matthias erst nach etwa fünf Jahren Fasslagerung. Es ist ein Herzensprojekt von ihm und daher auch ein ganz typischer "Warnung": Eine ruhige, unaufgeregte aber komplexe Nase. Leicht oxidativ mit Noten von Bienenwachs, gebrannten Mandeln, Orangenblüten, reifem gelben Steinobst, exotischen Einflüssen und einem Hauch Florhefe. Mit Luft gewinnt er etwas Erdiges, Brotiges. Ganz schön gut! Und noch besser - auch der Gaumen enttäuscht nicht im geringsten. In der Textur drahtig, eine für das Alter und die Rebsorte überraschend frische Säure und ultrafeine Aromen von Marzipan, Teeblättern und leicht gerbigen Anklängen. Dazu eine feine Ätherik, der man lange nachschmecken kann und möchte. Ein fantastischer Naturwein, ganz ohne Kitsch und Hefetrub, der es schafft, Ruhe und Spannung gleichzeitig auszustrahlen.
