Die Eule stammt aus dem Kinheimer Eulenlay an der Mittelmosel, einer Schiefer-Parzelle mit uralten, bis zu 100 Jahre alten Riesling-Rebstöcken, die nur wenige und sehr kleine Beeren abwerfen. Das hat nicht nur konzentrierte Trauben zur Folge, sondern auch ein deutlich größeres Schalen-Saft-Verhältnis, was dem Wein seinen Grip verleiht. Es ist mit Abstand der Wildeste aus Rudolf Trossens Naturweinlinie Purus. Ätherische Nase mit Limettenzeste, Grapefruit, grünem Apfel, Wiesenblüten, später geht das Ganze dann in etwas mehr Rustikalität über, wird wilder, struppiger, animalischer. Am Gaumen bleibt er aber schön schlank mit zitrischer Frische, verspielter Leichtigkeit und straffem Säuregerüst, bis er leicht getreidig ausklingt. [AS Jg. 2022]
