Beim Macvin handelt es sich um eine Spezialität des Jura, die meistens aus der Sorte Savagnin hergestellt wird, nämlich um einen mit Marc du Jura versetzten Likörwein. Wobei es sich eigentlich nicht um Wein handelt, denn es wird kein vergorener Wein, sondern Traubenmost mit dem Weinbrand gemischt und auf einen Alkoholgehalt von etwa 17 % Vol. eingestellt. So kann der Traubenmost nicht mehr Gären und bringt die Süße und viel Frische Frucht in den Macvin.
