GermanHorizont heißt der Mittelbau bei Zillinger, Herbert's Beitrag zur vinophilen Horizonterweiterung. Bei ihm bekommt der Most etwas Luft und darf oxydieren, dass macht u.a. den Gerbstoff weicher. In der Nase Traubengelée, gelber Apfel, Quitte und Ringlotten, auch etwas nach Heublumen und eine Brise getrockneter Kräuter, ich meine Liebstöckl. Am Gaumen eine vielschichtige und kraftvolle Textur, dezente Kalk-Mineralik mit zarten Salzeintrag, schlüssige Säure, kein Pfefferl aber eine intensive Kräuterwürze, dabei saftig und druckvoll, Speckbirne mit etwas Hagebutte und Mandeln, sehr stimmiger Veltliner mit guter Länge.
