GermanDen Gimmeldinger Biengarten bezeichnen Christmann & Kauffmann selbst als einen der wichtigsten Weinberge im Sekgut. Für Mathieu Kauffmann ist es gar so etwas wie eine Lieblingslage. Den Kalkbuckel am Fuße des Pfälzerwald sieht er prädestiniert für charakterstarke Schaumweine.
Im Biengarten wächst Riesling, die Reben wurden 1982 bis 2012 gepflanzt. Die Trauben wurden schonend in kleinen Kisten per Hand geerntet, als Ganztrauben gepresst und dann spontan, recht trüb im großen, gebrauchten Holzfass vergoren und dort auf der Vollhefe ausgebaut. Die Tirage erfolgte im Juni 2021 und nach 46 Monaten Hefelager wurde der Biengarten im April 2025 dégorgiert.
Stephan Reinhardt schreibt im Robert Parker Wine Advocate: »This straw-yellow Palatinate sparkling wine displays a generous bouquet of mature Riesling, characterized by long lees aging, along with hazelnut and brioche aromas and subtle notes of salt crystals and chalk. The wine is mouthfilling, elegant and smooth yet also fresh and long-lasting, with a salty texture and fine citrus freshness on the finish, which is also reminiscent of salted caramel and apple compote. The 2020 Biengarten is beautiful, balanced and elegant yet also a flavorful food wine with fine bubbles and stimulating finesse on the long and complex finish. It's excellent.«
