Im 2021er Jahr beginnt der Welschriesling Neuland von Zillinger etwas expressiver und kerniger. In der Nase hat man direkt intensive Frucht, warme Kräuter und große Intensität, reifes Steinobst, etwas Kerbel, dann auch etwas kühles und fast ätherisches, ein Hauch Tabak, reife Birne und warmes Heu, bleibt spannend und verändert sich ständig. Am Gaumen mit stoffiger Textur, das ist zupackend und durchaus auch etwas fordernd, nicht der leichte steirische Wölsch, sondern ein intensiver und charaktervoller Wein mit Tiefgang, wieder viel Würze, etwas Muskatnuss, Birne und reife Melone, dazu etwas salzig, ein Hauch Hefe kommt durch, dicht und eng verwoben. Ein spannender und intensiver Welschriesling mit Charakter. [CB Jg. 2021]
