The Bienaimé winery is also still very young, as it was only in 2016 that Bruno, who was previously cellar master at the Georges Laval champagne house, decided to move to the Jura and establish his own domaine. He wanted to be closer to nature, away from the vast slopes of Champagne, in the quiet and rural hills of the Jura. Here he produces wines that shine in terms of clarity and focus. For us, they are the most polished and refined wines in the entire Jura, clear, purist, and vibrant. The wines are aged exclusively in pièces (228-liter barrels) and remain on the fine lees for almost two years. The barrels are constantly topped up to achieve a reductive, clear, and straightforward style in the bottle.

The ambitious and focused winemaker spent several years researching and finally decided on the region near Chateau Chalon. On the diverse soils around Arlay, Bruno had no difficulty leasing vineyards with old vines and now cultivates a wide variety of plots covering 3.2 hectares. As diverse as the soils are, with limestone, Lias, Keuper, and marl, on which his grapes grow, his range is just as focused. There are only four wines in total, one each from the Trousseau, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Savagnin varieties. In addition, he launched his first sparkling wines in 2018, a rosé and a white blend.
