Der Cabernet Franc Les Bournais kommt von einer abgelegenen, knapp ein Hektar großen Parzelle die auf schwerem Lehm und Kalkstein in Ligré gepflanzt wurde. Die Rebstöcke sind über fünfzig Jahre alt und erbringen dank des schweren Boden immer einen besonders konzentrierten Wein. Die Trauben des Les Bournais wurde zwei Monate lang mit Ganztrauben mazeriert, bevor es für den Ausbau zum größten Teil in Amphoren ging. Es ist der Cabernet Franc bei Bejon mit der größten Fülle und Intensität, eine intensive Nase mit dunkler Frucht, kühlen Eukalyptusnoten und einem Hauch Fruchtsüße, reif und konzentriert. Am Gaumen stoffig und mit mürber Tanninstruktur, die dunkle Frucht bringt Charme und Fülle mit, dazu aber auch etwas frisches mit Minze, das für die Balance und Lebendigkeit sorgt. [CB 07/2023]
