Der Pinot Noir mit dem Namen Tapis Rouge kommt aus einer Parzelle in Saint-Bris-le-Vineux und die Reben stehen auf einem hochgelegen Kalkplateau, mit leicht südlicher Ausrichtung. Durch die Höhe handelt es sich um die kühlere Pinot-Parzelle des Weinguts und diese erbringt einen etwas feineren und eleganteren Wein, mit mehr Frische und Leichtigkeit. Das unterstützen die beiden Weinmacher auch mit ihrer Ausbauweise, der Tapis Rouge ist nur für drei Wochen auf der Maische bevor sanft gepresst wird. Hier kommt etwas mehr Frische Beere durch, dazu Kräuternoten und eine feine Würze, etwas Kirsche bringt Saftigkeit und am Gaumen geht das Bild genau so weiter, Eine saftiger Körper, dazu dezentes Tannin und weiche Beerenfrucht, die Spannung ist da und eine Fülle macht den jungen Wein schon sehr charmant und zugänglich.
