Beim Riesling aus der Lage Volz merkt man sofort, dass die Lage ein etwas kraftvolleres Terroir bietet. Bereits in der Nase kommt mehr Reife und Power durch, reifer gelber Pfirsich und Quittengelee, dazu kommen exotische Noten mit Papaya und leicht grüne kräutrige Nuancen. Am Gaumen von Beginn an sehr saftig und ausgewogen, die mineralische Struktur kommt leicht durch, dazu viel Frucht mit Ananas, Aprikose und Marille, mit der Saftigkeit bleibt er sehr schön am Gaumen und macht Lust aufs nächste Glas.
