Die Lage Steinberg liegt oberhalb der Monopol-Lage Hermannsberg und neben der Toplage Kupfergrube. Ist vom Boden dennoch komplett konträr und von hellem und sehr kargem Porphyr geprägt, wodurch die Weine aus dieser Lage auch immer etwas Kühler und Straffer sind.
