In 2016 ist der Gutsriesling von Schäfer-Fröhlich noch feiner als in den Jahren zuvor, eher dezente Nase mit weißer Frucht, weißer Pfirsich und etwas Litschi, ausgesprochen harmonisch und dezent. Am Gaumen ganz leicht mürbe Struktur, feingliedrig und mit viel Frische, etwas mürber Pfirsich, dazu wieder Litschi, Grapefruitzeste und etwas Limette runden die Aromen ab, hinten raus dann mit kühlem Zug und feiner Mineralik.
