Wenn Sie glauben die Sorte Lagrein schon zu kennen? Hier eine ganz neue Interpretation - mit Finesse und Unterstatement: 30 Monate im großen neutralen Holzfass, danach weitere 30 Monate Flaschenlagerung im Weingut. Ja, so viel Zeit bekommt der Wein bei Heinrich Mayr bevor er in den Verkauf kommt. In der Nase ein Beerenkompott aus: Cranberries, Himbeeren, Ribiseln, dazu Sauerkirschen, ein Spur Mandeln und Gärtenkräutern (getrockneter Rosmarin, Kerbel). Am Gaumen eine kräftige Textur mit einer urigen Seele, erdig, viel Extrakt, dunkle eingekochte Beeren, äußerst feine Tanninstruktur, klebt förmlich auf der Zunge, eine gute Säure -leicht salzig- gesellt sich dazu, macht ihn toll trinkig. Ein großer Ur-Wein! [GB Jg. 2015]
