Dieser Spätburgunder stammt von mehreren Parzellen und Lagen auf Kalkverwitterungsböden im Markgräflerland. Ein Teil der Reben ist über 40 Jahre alt, vergoren wurden die Trauben mit ca. 40% Ganztrauben, in einer offenen Maischegärung von 18 Tagen, mit anschließendem Holzfassausbau von 16 Monaten.
