Der Weißburgunder von Philipp Wittmann wächst auf reinem Kalksteinboden um die Ortschaft Westhofen. Ausgebaut wird er im großen Holzfass, wie alle Gutsweine von Wittmann verweilt er für mehrere Monate auf der Feinhefe. In der Nase fein dezente Frucht, weißer Pfirsich, Mirabelle und ein Hauch Honigmelone. Am Gaumen saftig vom ersten Schluck an harmonisch zart-mineralische Struktur mit leichtem Zitrustouch, etwas gelbe Birne und wieder Melone, ein Gutswein bei dem alles stimmt. [ND 03/2021]
