Die Toplage des Weinguts, der Kirchberg besteht aus Vulkanverwitterungsboden mit Kalkeinschlüssen und bietet somit ideale Bedingungen für den Spätburgunder. In der Nase sehr sortentypisch nach Walderdbeeren, leicht erdig und mit zarter Rauchigkeit. Am Gaumen spürt man sein Potenzial, sehr mürbe Tanninstruktur, hinterlegt mit feiner Säure, noch relativ viel Röstnoten, fast etwas kalkig vom Boden, Kirscharomatik und Beeren, bleibt intensiv auf der Zunge. Mit einigen Jahren Reife ein großer Pinot aus Deutschland.
