Der Spätburgunder aus den Lagen des Ortes Kallstadt ist der kühlere und feinere der Ortsweine am Weingut Rings. Frisch aufgemacht erst mal mit leichter Reduktion oder einer leichten Animalik, wirkt sehr animierend, insgesamt eine zurückhaltende Nase, etwas Weihrauch und leicht erdig, kühle Erdbeere. Am Gaumen mit tollem Zug, mürbes aber auch ordentlich zupackendes Tannin, straffe Struktur mit viel Kalkmineralik, bizelig und noch leicht austrocknend, braucht noch etwas Zeit aber dann kommt da ein grandioser Spätburgunder, karg und mit toller Länge.
