»Pet Nat« ist die Kurzform für petillant naturel, was direkt übersetzt prickelnd natürlich heißt. Das ist die fast in Vergessenheit geratene Urform der Sektherstellung. Die Trauben werden eingemaischt und spontan vergoren, mitten in der der Gärung wird der Most mit ca. 25 g Restzucker in Flaschen gefüllt, damit die Gärung in der Flasche weitergeht und Kohlensäure gebunden wird. Die verbliebene Gärhefe samt Weinstein wird entfernt (degorgiert), das Ergebnis sind Perl-Weine mit viel Frucht & Struktur und feinem Hefeton. Pet Nat Volume 1 aus Müller-Thurgau, Grüner Veltliner und Gelber Muskateller, im Glas dunkelgelb, naturtrüb wie Apfelsaft, in der Nase fruchtiger Apfel, Grapefruit, Rhabarber, Flieder, am Gaumen mit sanfter Perlage, eher wenig Säure, zart hefig mit Apfelstrudel im Abgang.
