Der Merlot von Bender fängt eher zurückhaltend an, zuerst kommt vor allem eine dezente Kirschfrucht durch, mit einer subtilen Kühle, dann viel Brombeerenaromatik, ganz zarter rauchiger Touch, bleibt immer sehr elegant. Am Gaumen präsentiert er sich saftig und äußerst animierend, schnell kommt eine intensive Würze durch. Die Frucht ist dominiert von Kirschnoten, jedoch sind auch Pflaumenanklänge spürbar, samtige Tannine runden den äußerst harmonischen Eindruck ab. Ein samtiger und Freude versprühender Merlot wie es ihn nur selten für so kleines Geld gibt!
