Cabernet Sauvignon

The complex bouquet of this grape variety can vary from bell pepper, red currants, and nettles (by rather high yields) to dark, ripe berries with sweet components. The abundant tannins of Cabernet are often enhanced by the use of small oak barrels, which can add nuances of chocolate and cacao. This widely spread international variety is an ideal partner for powerful red wine blends. The rather late-ripening fruit makes site selection a priority.

Dunkles Rubingranat mit sattem Kern und zarter Randaufhellung, in der Nase überreife Fruchtnoten, schwarzes Johannisbeerkonfit, Brombeeren, schwarze Olive, Edelholz, aber auch etwas Kühles: Lorbeer und Tannennadeln. Am Gaumen wieder viel Frucht, schmeichelnde Extraktsüße, sehr mollig und breit, Brombeeren-Gelee, saftiges Tannin mit viel Röstaromatik, leicht rauchige Anklänge, Pfeiffentabak, grüner Tee, zum Abgang hin kommt eine leichte Säure auf.
