Dieser Orts-Morillon aus Ehrenhausen ist nach dem traditionellen steirischen 600 Liter "Startin"-Fass benannt und wird in gebrauchten Fässern dieser Größe ausgebaut. Er verbringt mindestens ein Jahr auf der Hefe im Holzfass, um seine Finesse entwickeln zu können.
In der Nase eine leichte Reduktion von der Hefelagerung, Apfelschale, Melone, Sesamkörner mit leicht ätherischen Nuancen, dazu eine schöne Holzwürze mit einem Hauch Gewürznelken. Am Gaumen hat dieser steirische Chardonnay eine durchaus prägnante Ausprägung, mit einer gut tragenden Säure, dezent würzig, aber auch genug Körper für ein sehr angenehmes Mundgefühl, eine schöne Mineralik kommt durch.
