Dieser Blaufränkisch kommt von den Rieden Haussatz, Point und Setz am Leithagebirge mit sandigem Lehmboden und hohem Kalkanteil, ausgebaut über 18 Monate in französischen Barriques. Von Beginn an kommt Bordeaux Feeling auf, in der Nase dunkles Waldbeerkonfit, ein Hauch Lakritze und Leder, Schokolade, feine Zitronenzeste. Am Gaumen eine sehr kräftige Textur, mineralische Nuancen, viel reifes mürbes Tannin, feuchtes Holz, dann eine zarte Extraktsüße, dunkle Kirschen, finessenreiche Säure, etwas Bitterschokolade und Fasswürze im Abgang.
