Dem Sturkopf Heinrich Mayr ist es zu danken, dass es diese alte autochthone Südtiroler Sorte überhaupt noch gibt. Wohl ein Abkömmling vom Muskateller. In der Nase kann man seine Abstammung auch andeutungsweise erkennen, herbe Boskop Apfelspalten, Muskat, Walnuss, Flieder, sehr intensive und wuchtige Nase. Am Gaumen am Anfang ein weicher Schmelz, der ganz langsam schwindet, bevor sich eine zarte Gerbstoff-Textur zeigt, vielschichtige Eindrücke, in sich ruhend - ein ausgefallener Wein, bleibt intensiv auf der Zunge, toll. Nicht zu Kühl servieren! [GB Jg. 2019]
